Full story: Berkshire Eagle

North County parents who receive state-subsidized child care will have to make the 45-minute drive to Pittsfield from now on to renew their vouchers -- instead of stopping by the Resources for Child Care satellite office on Main Street.

What is up with Deval we need this guy out of office. He's cutting a lot of much needed services here in the berkshires yet he owns a home here. Guys a moron he needs to worry less about gun control and more about those less fortunate. Especially in these economic times.

"As part of the governor's cuts, the Department of Early Education and Care cut the management budget for these vouchers by over 50 percent," Anne Nemetz-Carlson, executive director of Child Care of the Berkshires, said. "While we haven't heard anything official, the cuts are presented in the governor's budget summery.

The drastic cuts are a tragedy. Not good for people trying to find work or further their education.

Another tragedy is the lack of English language comprehension by the writers in the Eagle. Summary is spelled with an A.

I agree that something needs to be donw. There are alot of people that get daycare vouchers and ship their kids to daycare while they sit home and watch tv or hang with their friends. Then when they get the kids from daycare they pass them to someone else so THEN they can go to work. All the while they are spending no time with their kids and the state has to pay for it. In the meantime there are families and parents who REALLY do need the help and they are placed on a waiting list since the shitbag parents are taking up the space they need. Something needs to be done and I think by cutting the budget maybe it will get them to look at the program closer and see who really needs it and who just wants someone else to take care of their kids.

Daily Horoscope for December 16

Cancer

Today's New Moon in your sixth house reminds you not to neglect your health or general well-being. It's the ideal time to arrange a check-up with your doctor or dentist, or to follow up a medical query. Cancerians love yummy food, and the festive season is hardly the best time to start a diet, but you still might want to monitor your calorie intake.
