Lion's Den Porn Store Wins Battle in Abilene, Kansas

Why should we be surprised? AG Six was appointed by an abortion supported governor, Kathleen Sebelius. Those same invisible government forces also are pro-porn.

If anyone can prove that the Lion's Den contributed in any way to the rape of a man, woman, or child, then you have a court case to file a lawsuit to seize their assets and shut them down.

IMO, shutting down pawn shops and people who buy stolen goods is a worse threat to any community than a porn shop.

I meant to say "shutting down pawn shops and people who buy stolen goods is better for the community than worrying about a porn shop." The reason is that a burglar will kill a homeowner who interrupts his burglary in progress.

As for porn stores along the highway, those are mostly visited by lonely truck drivers who need some entertainment on the road. Big deal.

Why would I want my grand daughters to see that kind of filth every time they are on the interstate? A little common decency needs to be used here. Nativity scenes are removed because they offend some people. Porn advertising offends more, yet it's allowed to stay up. I guess I'm just too old to understand.

I agree that I'm not crazy 'bout my son seeing these places on the highway. But, tell me about one Nativity scene that's been forceably removed from private property.

I don't really give a crap if it was on public or private property. It's the double standard that upsets me.

I didn't know the porn shops had billboards with naked women on them. I read that they just had billboards with their name and location. Kids see racier stuff than that on their cellphones and internet sites.

I get more offended by the TV ads for women's "feminine hygiene" products and mens' "erectile dysfunction" products because those are piped in directly to our living rooms! At least on the highway, you can direct a youngster's attention to picking up some loose change you throw onto the carpet or pointing to some cows along the highway. But when kids come up to you and ask, What's "e-reptile dis-fukshun?" they can really surprise you.

There's NO double standard. Nativity scenes are totally legal on your private property and on your church's property. YOur church can even pay a billboard company to put a nativity scene on as many billboards as you can afford!

The problem comes when your church wants to put a nativity scene on public property, because if they do it for one church, they'll have to do it for every mosque, synagogue, hindu temple, and satan worshipping group on earth!
