K-Pax Racing's Robert Thorne Claims Commanding Win In Final Race Of Pirelli World Challenge Season

Driver Robert Thorne of K-PAX Racing, the only team to field closed-wheel McLaren race cars in North America in nearly 30 years, closed out the final race of the 2014 Pirelli World Challenge season by earning his first victory of the season in commanding fashion. Thorne entered the last of 16 races this season with two podium finishes under his belt in his first year in the top-tier GT division.

Penske, DJR, Ambrose form V8 superteam

THE worst-kept secret in V8 Supercars has been confirmed: Team Penske are partnering with Dick Johnson Racing, and Marcos Ambrose will return to the sport to drive the famous No.17 Ford. The two teams, to be known as DJR Team Penske, confirmed their partnership in an announcement on Monday morning, also revealing that they will continue to race Ford Falcons.

Thorne takes first win in last race of the season

The 25th Anniversary Season of Pirelli World Challenge concluded today at Miller Motorsports Park. K-PAX Racing driver Robert Thorne closed out the final round of the season with his first Pirelli World Challenge win, also the first American win for the McLaren 12C GT3.

Chandhok set for Formula E debut

Twenty drivers, including India's Karun Chandhok, representing 10 teams will kick-start the historic FIA Formula E championship, the world's first fully-electric racing series, here Sunday when the 270bhp machines will run on a purpose-built circuit around the iconic Bird's Nest stadium that was build for the 2012 Olympics. The 30-year-old Chandhok, only the second Indian after Narain Karthikeyan to race in Formula One, will be driving for Mahindra Racing Formula E team with Brazilian Bruno Senna, also a former F1 racer, as his partner.

Takuma Sato to race for Amlin Aguri in Formula E

IndyCar champion Will Power recounts hard fought season in exclusive blog

A little over a week after finally winning my first Verizon IndyCar Series championship, I'm probably more relaxed and having more fun than in a long time. We did the champion's media tour in New York the week after the season finale at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., flew home to Charlotte on Friday evening and now I'm getting ready to go home to Australia to visit my family and friends there and celebrate the championship with them.
