Smart move to throw the coffee in his face. Even smarter move would have been to lock the doors. It's a good thing she wasn't more seriously injured and thank goodness she went public to help others from making the same dumb mistake of not locking the doors.

Yes i agree but what if the knife had cut her somewhere else like a major artery in her neck or he got her in the heart. Winnipeg is a very violent place and I cannot imagine someone not locking their car doors, be it a rental car or your own vehicle. I would never drive down the streets in Winnipeg alone with my car doors open. That is an invitation to trouble. I was shot at as I was driving down a street in Winnipeg. Fortunately not injured. There was a hole in my windshield right in front of me. It was very fast and very startling. It is a very dangerous place.

So whatever happened to the guy that attacked the poor woman? Did he go to jail? Did he plead guilty?
