From the archives: Driver dies after truck falls off bridge into lake

A 49-year-old Monteregie man died last night after the truck he was driving plunged off the Ile aux Tourtes bridge, which links to the western tip of Montreal, yesterday afternoon.

Truck driver dies after Montreal bridge crash

Highway 40 traffic was jammed Thursday morning after the truck accident. Quebec police have found the body of a transport truck driver whose vehicle plunged into the waters of the Deux Montagnes Lake west of Montreal.
