Lake Shore Gold Corp. today announced that the Company has commenced safety, ventilation and maintenance checks at its Timmins West Mine as of 7:00 pm on Sunday, May 27, 2012, with full production at the mine to resume tomorrow morning at 7:00 am.

The Lake Shore Gold mine, in front of a smoky brown backdrop on Thursday May 24 as the mine was being evacuated and shut down because of the smoke from the forest fire.
