A fire that seriously damaged a cottage in Regina Beach, Sask., over the weekend was caused by arson, according to RCMP.

"Mrs. Schofield is a remarkable Canadian who will bring to the position of lieutenant-governor significant experience in business, the arts, education and broadcasting," Harper said in a release.
