I hope he gets what he deserves also Angel. I wish they could castrate them! A very close child I know was sexually abused by one of these monsters in the worst way imaginable. And the accused person is so good at what he does that he gets others to believe him also..a person wouldn't make lies up about this kind of abuse!

i agree with readandlearn, people don't just make this stuff up.
the rodds family, pedophiles are extremely sick people. its an addiction. i truly believe that once professionals figure them out, its too late to help them.

You're so right Angel. This person I knew that gained my trust and ended up being a pedophile? He loved Karla and Paul. When Karla was released, he was very vocal about how happy he was that she was..isn't that sick???!!!!!!

I know lookatmexx. This may sound horrible, because all crimes are, but when there is a murder, there is no choice, no chance to heal and move forward. A child who has been sexually abused has to live with it for the rest of his/her life, and I don't think people understand the extent of the damage it can do..depression, self-harm, drugs, alcohol, pushing people away, suicide..the list goes on and on..

All pedophiles and serial rapists should be castrated - penis and balls lopped off - for starters.

I'm with you on the pot thing though...

It's very frustrating dealing with the judicial system sometimes, too. My cousin's husband was charged and convicted after molesting two little girls. He basically got a kick in the pants and told he can't live near schools for a few years. He did, however get visitation with his own children (this was awhile back, he is now remarried and has another child).

My cousin went through endless years of trying to get him put away, keep her children from him (if she didn't let him have visits with them then SHE would go to jail). She would have taken it for the team and gone to jail but for the fact that if she went to jail, then he would get the kids anyway.

It's pathetic. I have no confidence in the judicial system when it comes to paedophiles.

As far as the kiddie porn, whoever said it's harmless. No, READING violet sex fiction is 'harmless'.(sick, but harmless). Photos and videos are not harmless. These ARE someone's children who are being exploited. All of the bleeding hearts who take the paedophiles' side or say porn is harmless...some day it's going to involve someone they know and love and THEN the lightbulb'll go on.

PS (added on to my above statement), I didn't realise it was going to register that I'm in Turkiye. I'm an ex-pat Albertan and this happened 13 years ago so it was in and around the Edmonton area, not in Turkiye.

No, you really jump to some strange conclusions. I don't like kiddie porn myself (it's not my thing, I'm more into MILFs), but I don't care if others like it. None of my business, really. They're not hurting anyone if they're just looking. Touching kids is where it goes too far, but very few pedophiles go that far.

A lot of "kiddie porn" are pictures of teens. Teens you can legally have sex with, but for some odd reason can't look at a picture of them nude. Go figure!

But even if they're real kids, the damage was already done and looking at the pictures doesn't cause any more damage. There is no "kiddie porn industry".
