Patrick Hacketts Hardware Co., which runs a department store in Tupper Lake, filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy Tuesday, two days after closing its Gouverneur store under threat of eviction.
Federal bankruptcy filings show that Patrick Hackett Hardware Co. owes more than 200 creditors at least an estimated $10 million, yet the company lists assets of less than $50,000. The Ogdensburg retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Tuesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of New York, Utica.
