Slain Mountie would have wanted to be immortalized: widow
The parents of a slain Alberta Mountie have made one last legal bid to keep their son's body close to home. via Edmonton Sun
Its going to be another long run of sorrow and sadness for the wife, friends and family of Leo. This will go down as the longest period of mourning in history but no matter what the outcome is healing will only begin when both sides can forgive each other so the sooner they can except the fact that there will be a winner and a loser will their lives return to normal. To change this law would be taking every Canadians right to their spouses be it for better or worse and death do we part and then placing the trust in the parents hands. The outcry from husbands and wives would create such a huge backlog of court time that the tax payers would be on the hook for and would not be to sympathetic to the cause of giving up their rights so lets all say a prayer that the healing can begin today, GOD BLESS.

There are mixed feelings about the anonymity here. Perhaps some people don't feel that they can have their voices heard if they do use their real name since this community is big on discounting people due to either real or manufactured vendettas. It is a real opportunity for some real debate and raising of issues without all the baggage most leaders and media carry around with them. Let's examine each issue based on the merit of it and not play bad politics!!Us LLB citizens that want our opinions heard will now be able to have a say in what is going on in the community and don't have to go to a paper that is run buy strangers that don't really give the average person a fair shake at getting out the real truth. It is a powerful tool the Internet and Im sure us Lac La Bichers will all flock to topix after the local paper tells you to take a hike with your story because the editor dosent like it so lets enjoy our new born freedom on the grapevine of the topix family.
