Citizen's arrest leads to fine, driving ban for impaired driver in Centreville

Darrell Benedict, 43, of Centreville, pleaded guilty to the charge of having care or control of a motor vehicle while his blood alcohol level exceeded the legal limit on July 21. Judge Alan Tufts fined Benedict $1,560 and imposed a one-year driving prohibition against him.

Kentville man arrested for assault, unlawfully entering house

One of those, a 26-year-old Kentville man was arrested for unlawfully entering a dwelling and committing an assault July 25. Around 9:30 p.m., an intoxicated man entered a Masters Avenue home and committed an assault.
