Firefighters extinguish Acton basement fire

Halton Hills firefighters were called to a basement fire on Jeffrey Ave. in Acton Saturday about 2:50 p.m. The blaze, which was contained to one room, was extinguished quickly by fire crews.

Arnott to Province: End talk of 4-3 highway alternative

Students honour veterans

The 10th annual Georgetown Candlelight Tribute was held this morning at Remembrance Park in which hundreds of Halton Hills elementary school students paid tribute to war veterans and peacekeepers by placing a candle at the base of the cenotaph.
