Storm surge leads to 'panic city' in northern N.B.
Rescuers wrapped 88-year-old Rebecca LaBillois in a blanket for protection against a whipping wind and carried the elder out of her Eel River Bar First Nation home in northern New Brunswick on Monday afternoon, just as her front step was washed away in a storm surge.
Metro Moncton's unemployment dipped to 7.1 per cent in August compared to the same month last year, despite a jump in the provincial rate.
