Proposal Would Let Wicomico Restaurants Sell Wine
Wicomico County is seeking state authority to allow restaurant patrons to take home bottles of wine from local restaurants.
The proposal would allow restaurants to sell wine for retail sale, instead of solely for in-house consumption. Restaurant owners say patrons would be able to buy wine not easily found in local liquor stores.
The proposal is one of six proposed changes to liquor control laws that have been forwarded to state lawmakers.
Another proposed amendment would allow pub breweries to sell beer in sealed refillable containers. Read more
