Radio station owner settles in deadly fire
“We haven't reached the end of the road yet”

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island (Reuters) - The largest U.S. radio station owner has agreed in principle to pay $22 million to victims of a Rhode Island nightclub fire that killed more than 100 people, the latest in a string of settlements that total more than $70 million.
The agreement is between Clear Channel Broadcasting, Inc., a subsidiary of Clear Channel Communications Inc., and plaintiffs who filed suit on behalf of those killed and injured in the blaze, one of the deadliest fires in U.S. history. Read more
