FCC seeks more data near end of XM-Sirius review

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Regulators reviewing Sirius Satellite Radio Inc.'s proposed purchase of XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. are asking the companies to turn over more information about the deal, as some analysts expressed growing optimism that it will be approved soon.
The Federal Communications Commission has sent letters to the companies' lawyers requesting documents on any marketing agreements they have with major retailers, equipment and vehicle manufacturers and content providers. Read more

SBS reports profit for the quarter
Spanish Broadcasting System, a media and entertainment company based in Coconut Grove, said third-quarter profit grew to $2.5 million, or zero cents per share, from $843,000, or a 2-cent loss per share, in the same period last year.
Revenue grew to $46.8 million compared to $45.9 million in the same period last year, based on increased sales for its Mega TV operations.
SBS operates 20 radio stations around the United States, Mega TV in South Florida and also produces live concerts. Read more
