U.S. Stocks Advance on Oil's Drop, Plan to Rescue Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac
U.S. stocks climbed for a second day, led by banks and consumer companies, after lawmakers agreed on a plan to rescue Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and oil extended a weeklong retreat.
