Meet Max Appel: He found key to business in show
Max Appel, creator of Orange Glo and OxiClean cleaning products, said Charlotte's Southern Christmas Show was the key to his success more than 20 years ago.
His company became so successful that he recently sold it to Church & Dwight Co. Inc., the makers of Arm & Hammer, for $325.4 million.
Now with a new company, Aaah LLC, Appel continues to participate in shows because he sees them as key to a product's development.
