Pacquiao facing a big challenge vs. De La Hoya

First there was David and Goliath, now Manny Pacquiao and Oscar De La Hoya. The only thing is that Pacquiao won't be able to use a slingshot when he squares off with the much bigger De La Hoya on Dec.

Manny and Oscar are terrific fighters who beat the odds thrown their way as shown by their professional and private lives. Bettors analyze boxers' statistics in making their pick. Others listen to their hearts to decide. But this match will go beyond figures and emotions.

i hope pacman wins, one thing he has going for him is the same thing that made de la hoya famous. "youth" oscar fought pernell and julio at the end of they're careers. he only beat a couple of overrated welterweights in his prime, and when he moved up he couldn't hang. hold up! oscar is smart and will go down as one of the greatest. but a lot of it was because he was in the right place at the right time. all said oscar by decision

I guess Mike Tyson as an example of a little big man got pass you. He slowed down with all of the partying, but it sounds like your ready to lay your money down. You're convinced that size makes the difference - good luck.

You're mis-understanding my example of small & short (mike has short arms besides) being a detriment in self-defense. Manny has other assets that I hope will make up for his size. You should chill and have a civil conversation or maybe not- whatever Mr. fight fan enjoy the fight

No boxer has given de la hoya a real beating. love him or hate him the truth is he has been competitive in all his fights wins and losses. Even the bernard fight was pretty close until he got hit with the body punch. He has never ducked anyone and it is hard to believe that Pacman can beat him, especially since no one has truly stopped him besides hopkins. Easy money de la hoya in 8th

pac man is a power house in own weight class he is strong but i think he is in over his head in this weight class if he wins he will be the greatest fighter ever not only in the philipines .people should look at numbers oscar has 38 wins and 30 nockouts i always enjoy a good fight even if my guy doesnt win.i think the fight is just to uneven just like diaz vs paquiao. oscar just has to much boxing skills and ko power.

I think that pacqiao is very fast in and out side the ring he is going to knock the shit out of De la hoya, Oscar is just making seens going in to the ring and losing, he is just making us the hispanic race look bad if you put this on Payperveiw believe me no one is going to pay for it every body knows that De la hoya is just gona lose, make his money I dont box but if I would I would try my very best he hasnt looked his best the past 6 fights, so you know what De la hoya if you dont try your best im walking with Pacqiao cause im not races and I live in America I run with the best so think about what ur doing are doing is for the money or the reputation and you should know better as a hispanic we never give up we keep trying till we get to the top think about what your doing to your fans De la hoya give it your best to be the best .

This fights a farce, plain and simple.

Pac-man should fight Edwin Valero
Oscar should fight Margarito or Paul Williams
