Those homeless will never take the blame for creating their own problems.
Maybe thay can remember back 15 years ago when meddling liberal orgainzations were gathering up every black group they could find and coaching them to live the American dream by buying a home. These same liberal groups had filed class action lawsuits against mortgage companies that turned down blacks at double the rate for whites. Never mind that the mortgage companies had turned down applicants solely on their income and payment histories, they were sued none-the-less. The Clinton administration jumped on the issue to solidify their standing as the champion of poor helpless blacks and forced changes in mortgage eligibility laws.
Financial advisors at the time warned against opening credit to people with poor repayment histories. They also warned that a home is not an investment but a high maintenance liability and poor people had no business taking on high debts like home loans.
But, it wasn't just blacks who took advantage of home loans with little or no loan qualifications. Whites and other minorities took out similar loans while unscrupulous liberal real estate agents cashed in big time on this new market of unqualified buyers.
Now, the poor have defaulted in record numbers, along with people living beyond their means by refinancing time and again until their home equity was all used up.
Bill Clinton and the liberal Democrats should step forward along with the ACLU to accept their guilt for this new surge in homelessness.

you messed up... you meant unscrupulous RICH BUT CONSERVATIVE VOTERS SO THEY COULD STAY RICH real estate agents and recognized the fact that these people couldn't afford the loans, but showed them house after house to be sure they got their commission. I'm sure the 90 year old lady that shot everself in her foreclosed home who fell behind because the energy and health care costs totally consumed her poor little budget and that is her own fault too, right...I guess she took responsibility.
