Hulu lands new partners as usages rises

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Hulu, the video website owned by News Corp and NBC Universal, said on Tuesday its service will be distributed on seven new sites, making its archive of popular television shows more widely available.
The deals come as usage on Hulu and its partner sites exceeded all U.S. television network websites -- including those owned by its founders -- in its first month since launching publicly, Hulu said, citing Nielsen's VideoCensus data.
Hulu videos will now be distributed on entertainment and social network sites TV.com, TVGuide.com, BuddyTV.com, Flixster.com, MyYearbook.com, Break.com and Zap2it.com, said Hulu Chief Executive Jason Kilar at the Reuters Global Technology, Media and Telecoms Summit.

Police: Driver who crashed LI police car 'beat the system'
Police say a drunk driver with a suspended New York driver's license who crashed a police cruiser and injured an officer 'beat the system' by obtaining a license out of state.
Nassau County Police Officer Kenneth Baribault remained in critical condition Monday at Nassau University Medical Center. The 30-year-old was injured when a car plowed into his police cruiser Sunday on the Long Island Expressway near Plainview.
Police say that driver Rahiem Griffin had a suspended New York driver's license, but that he was able to obtain a license in New Jersey.

CHANDLER, Arizona (Reuters) - A new co-branded store by Nike Inc and Finish Line, the No. 2 U.S. athletic shoe retailer, opens on Wednesday, aimed at gaining a foothold in the niche market of runners and athletes in training.
