This is not a cut in spending. It is merely a decrease in the amout of budget increase. Big deal. These guys don't get it. They are only looking out for their pork projects. Send a message on November 4th. Repeal the income tax and let them figure a way to only fund the essential services, not the special projects like renovating a theatre in Springfield, or building a boat ramp in Methuen.

After Deval pays for the educations of all the illegals in the country, maybe there will be enough money left for your bout ramp. LOL

Every expenditure that is not for a state-owned roadway should be axed immediately. Let the individual cities and towns decide what is best for their community and let them get taxes from their own citizens. If their towns want a particular project they can decide to fund it, not every taxpayer statewide.

"Gov Cuts Deep" on the front page???

Was that intentional sarcasm or do you think we are that stupid?

It's like a store doubling the normal price, taking 10 percent off, and calling it a big sale.

The spending is out of control. Our legislature, including our own Susan Fargo, just piled another $500 Million tax on businesses that will force many of them to move out. They raided the rainy day fund.

"Patrick is asking lawmakers for changes to require employers, insurers and health-care providers to kick in an additional $130 million to help shore up funding for the health-care law." ( Translation: "kick in" means more taxes.)

Our debt is higher than ever.

The Mass. Taxpayers Foundation warns us that expected revenues will still be about $1 Billion short of the planned spending.

Doesn't anyone care that we are heading for economic disaster? Probably not. They will just re-elect the same bozos again.

Someone agin feels that Gov patrick" is funding education for illegal immigrants. FACT: only think happening is kids born here of illegal immigrants that study and get into a state college pay THE SAME AS OTHER in-state college students. The SAME, not out-of-state tuition , but the SAME tuition Nothing FREE.. No money being given away. Once this stupidity is in a bigot's brain never gets removed.

So you think it's right that someone serves two tours of duty in Iraq and their child doesn't get the tuition break but someone that breaks our immigration laws and spits one out on US soil does. That doesn't seem right to me.
