FDA warns of fetal risk with transplant drugs
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. health officials issued an alert on Friday warning about the risk of miscarriages and birth defects with transplant drugs sold by Novartis AG and Roche Holding AG.
The warning applies to Roche's CellCept and Novartis' Myfortic, the Food and Drug Administration said in a notice posted on its website.
The drugs are used to prevent rejection of a transplanted organ.
