EPA to look at chemical containers at Mace Security
Investigators from the federal Environmental Protection Agency are due in Bennington on Monday to see if chemicals from the Mace Security International facility leaked.
EPA spokesman David Deegan says that during a February inspection, officials found containers that held chemicals used to make tear gas type substances produced by Mace apparently stored in the ground.
Deegan says the condition of the containers will be assessed and they'll look at the condition of the ground water as well. Read more
