Oh I LOVE this spin. I've never heard this one before.. Unions FORCED jobs overseas?
So I suppose our wages should have been competitive with the Indian sweat shops?
Clinton and Bush forced jobs overseas...not unions. They (Unions) just BANKFUPT companies.

What rock have you been living under? That's been accepted truth and common knowledge for decades.

Unions are filth and having already destroyed our manufacturing base, they're not satified and are in the process of bankrupting local governments as well. Look at the auto industry. That's Union influence at it's best.

Its really sad to see the combination of corporate greed and union greed come together. America used to have a great manufacturing base. Its gone and unions helped that happen.

No, that is not what they mean.
I feel we need to bring back work to the USA. But unions can and do make companies non-competitive to their rivals here at home. Companies have to have money to pay their employees. Math 101.
If a unionized company cannot compete with a non-unionized company, then it goes out of business. Economics 101
Unions do not serve the common good like they did many years back. Now, it's about dues and
union officers living high on the hog and getting double the pay and benefits of the very people he or she is supposed to be representing. The same thing that unions (and anyone else) would say of a CEO.
Your theory, spewed from the anti american labor front, Unions cause companys to go out of buisness and send the jobs overseas. I believe the majority of companys who send those jobs overseas were non union to begin with. The anti american labor front wants to go back to the good old days of the company store. You advocate that when you say labor needs to go hat in hand and beg the employer to pay a decent wage.By the way the execs negotiate their contracts, much like the unions only they are compensated millions if they don't do there job and the company fails..

So your saying that execs purchase the majority of stocks, they own, with money that they earn and none are award as incentives, bonus, or part of their contract? That means the media has been lying about the companies. Naw, that would never happen..
No, Spade I am climing the the execs and BOD are not the largest shareholders in any Large US corporation like you claim. Can't you read what you wrote and what I wrote? It was a stupid remark that you can't verify. Wrong again.

I own my business (19 employees) so why would I criticize you for being self employed??????? What…..you want a pat on the back for working hard and making something of yourself on your own merits... living the American Dream……funny. I own my recruiting firm and recruit for XE (ZEE)…formally Black Water, as well as other companies. I retired from the military a little over 2 years ago... Special Forces Combat Medic –
1987 i was in op (operation) Earnest Will in Kuwait...
88-90 op Just Cause in Panama..
92 op Restore hope in Somali...
95 I was in Bosnia...
97 I was in Tiran, Albania(wounded)...
2001 I was in Afghanistan.....
2003 Iraq (wounded)
2004 again in Iraq...
I don’t blame you for what is happening….. I blame our elected officials and dumbasses that vote people into power because of their skin color or the handouts that they can receive. Like your name on this forum…. I call a spade and spade.
You seem to have a chip on your shoulder regarding people making money and yet you fail to mention the people holding top positions in the current administration that STOLE $100MILLION dollars of tax payers money….(Franklin Raines, Jim Jones, etc…) That bothers me…..maybe not you and that’s cool…but, it does me.
LMAO....“conservative buddies”…..FYI…I’m a reg Dem! I voted for Bush Bot ONCE against Kerry the FAIRY. My father was with Kerry twice during VN…couldn’t vote for the Looooooser/Liar.
Yes, The Messiah won with the Majority of votes…..JUST LIKE BUSH! You seem to be the one with the grudge. For 6 years Democrats tried to find something, anything…tried every trick in the book to show that Bush cheated or what ever….they couldn’t and he didn’t….stop beating the dead horse.
LMAO….I bet you even believe that Bush inherited a SURPLUS from Clinton when he took office too!
Chip against making money? I advocate against cheap labor and the destruction of the middle class.
So big deal you did your duty, I did mine too, the difference is I don't brag about it and I don't believe anyone owes me anything for paying my part for the freedoms we all enjoy. Get over yourself about that.
As far as self employed, Your the ass that attacked me as lazy and a leach on corporate America. I set you straight.

Gosh, I hate to agree with a nut of the Right Wing persuasion, but there is a certain amount of truth to this. The guys who go to work for the union are just management wannabes. They want to be like the big boys, wear suits, play golf(ALPA plays lots of golf), stay at nicer hotels than the crews and reward themselves handsomely with plenty of money and time off. Often, the same guys who negotiated your last contract end up being hired by the company. Pilots who obtain positions in the union usually make 50% to 100% more than their peers who fly the line. The president of ALPA makes $700K/yr. If he were a line pilot at CAL, he would make about $220K.The only difference between these guys and management is the level of compensation. Not to mention the fact that there are no head-hunting outfits seeking union leaders to run any legitimate enterprise.

As far as the necessity of unions, 92% of the private workforce work without union representation. You can't tell me that all of these people have awful jobs. Workers in large corporations organize because they CAN and because as a group they have the power to extort higher than market wages from their companies. This is why the Mafia dovetails in so well with union operations, "pay me or I put you out of business". It's extortion either way. Only with a union, it is legal.

GM DID go bankrupt you fucking IDIOT! Hhhmmmmm CHRYSLER did toooo, you MORON! So did AMR, Delphi, Grand Union, Want me to keep going?

BTW......Keep drinking that Kool Aid.... Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV)reported its third quarter 2009 financial results wit a Net loss for third quarter 2009 was $16 million, or $.02 loss per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $120 million, or $.16 loss per diluted share, for third quarter 2008.
Third quarter 2009 results included special items (net of profitsharing and taxes) consisting of a charge of $27 million relating to the Company's early-out program and a net loss of $12 million, relating to non-cash, mark-to-market and other items associated with a portion of the Company's fuel hedge portfolio.

Nice try....but, as unemployment rises, the MORE losses SWA will have. You're not too good in the finance arena are you! It shows...still nice try though, IDIOT!(see I can name call like you too)

You didn't SET ANYONE "Straight"....LMAO.. .You have avoided my facts and refuse to rebuttle them (cause you can't). Nice Try! You're a little hypocrite in my opinion and there is NO WAY IN Hell that you didn't vote for Obama. That's my opinion.... I'm entitled to it...RIGHT! Now, STFU or try again. You did say the "majority of corporations" didn't you? Would that not mean some or several large ones. You made a stupid remark and now you are trying to wiggle out of it aren't you? Produce a single large corporation or even medium size corporation where the execs and BOD control the stock. Will you be getting back to us on that, or are you still working on your other lists? Bet you can't because again you do not know what you are talking about. You are a washed up ex mechanic who didn't support his own union. You know nothing about corporate finance do you. You even supported the crap that Wilson and Checchi were on the Delta BOD proposed by your buddy Googs in Hawaii. And cut out the fiction that you served in Vietnam. Bullies like you never served. Don't spoil it for those who did.
