Mesa Air says United Airlines didn't extend deal for operation of 26 regional jets

This is another sad news for Mesa with its recent Dash 8 mountain flying terminated and end contract for the 26 CRJ200.
United is known to drop contracts with whom ever it choices. Remember when they have Expressjet to fly over the summer months due to impending strike at TSA? Expressjet brought in EMB145ER/XRs and passengers loved their serviced, clean and highly maintained aircrafts. But unfortunately, UA decided to axed them and now just because Skyworst danggled $80 million in front of management and gave Mesa contracts to Ass Airlines (ASA). There is no comparasion between Expressjet and Ass; Ass is known for its crappy service, dead last on-time performance and horrible aircrafts.
UA management have no clue as to what passengers want and will lead to the downfall of United. Continental is at the the better position and will be the buyer for UA.The Expressjet EMB145s are newer and better performance than CRJ200s.

This really sucks because it affects my husband who is a pilot for Freedom Airlines owned by Mesa. Yeah it sucks that he has to work for them, but at the rate of failure that the company is going through my husband may not have a job soon and that will really be hard! All these factors suck!

back in the 1990s, mesa was the largest regional along with ACA and Air Wisconsin. Then came along Skyest which play double dipping with Delta and United. Skywest got caught in the cookie jar when it try to inflat its on-time numbers by disabling its ACARs for the out and on time.
United got smart with its ramp control at ORD and noted all on and out time within 2 minutes. Then all of the sudden skywest numbers dip and worst than mesa.
Why did not UA drop skyworst 50 seater?
