American Airlines Lost $359 Million in the 3Q

The economy is recovering except for us, doom gloom. Planes are full, but only with people who don't pay enough to cover our costs. We are in negotiations with all of our unions. Our workers are fine. The raises that didn't cover the cost of living increase are stopped for our senior employees. Medical costs will go up first of the year. Hey they should be happy they have jobs and medical. The board of directors have voted to give us another multimillion dollar bonus. gee shucks ok

The flying public has been exposed to low fares for a very long time. They are not willing to pay for what the seat is worth. AA and many others will never make a profit by giving away their product. Besides, they have huge fixed costs- Lots of debt, high medical costs, etc. Unfortunately, in this economy, if they try to raise fares, they lose customers. It's a no win situation.

American Airlines is simply a poorly run company full of lazy incompetent employees run by lazy incompetent supervisers and managers who can't be trusted for anything.(LYING UNDER OATH IS NOT BEYOND AAL MANAGEMENT)
This company needs to fire the entire management structure they have now and replace them with managemnent from a SUCESSFUL LCC who will have to dismantle the years of bad management, mistrust amoungst management and labor,the bad attitudes of both the workers and the management and start over with a new way to do business. AMERICAN'S MANAGEMENT/LABOR RELATIONS HAVE BEEN SO BAD FOR DECADES THAT STARTING OVER IS THE ONLY WAY. Another thing that needs to be done is get rid of most of the employees who have been at American over 15 years as their work ethic is so bad and their bad attitudes about nearly everything about the company is only a cancer that will continue to bring the company down. In a few words, American need to start over from scratch.

Correction to my above statement.
Fire all employees who have completed the probation period. They have all been corrupted by the "American Way" and are part of the disease the "Lazy A" has.
