It is funny how right Orwell had it. Some animals rally are more equal than others. Had this been a couple of guys at the range, someone would have faced, at the very least, a grand jury. And just think: these are the same police that the Bradys and their ilk say are the only people who should be trusted with pistols.

Sort of like the time a cop was showing me his new Glock that was being used to replace the trusty old Smith & Wesson M&P Model 10 revolver. He showed me how easy it was to take apart the pistol when the main spring flew out the 4th floor window of the office we were in and landed in the back of a pickup truck that was stopped at a traffic signal. Last we saw of the spring it was headed south. The cop got this awful look on his face and said "What did you see??" I said "Nothing I was laughing too hard to see anything" Darwin was right.....

Whatever. The internet is still swarming with them. All you gotta do is be careful what you write...

They're not going to announce their presence or warn you.

ATTENTION POSTERS (gun owners): This is Deputy Phife and I'm listening (reading) and searching for incriminating statements.

Have you seen the video of the DEA agent shooting himself in the foot while giving a GUN SAFETY PRESENTATION to school children? Take a look:

If that's the same video I saw a few years ago, then likely the firearm wasn't loaded with a live round.
.
Rather it was a blank.
.
If you look at the video, there's a 'shirt' on the right side, front of the class leaning up against the wall, and his reaction to the 'shot' is completely passive.
.
Later, you see the guy who supposedly shot himself casually strolling away with someone else.
.
If he'd indeed shot himself in the foot, you'd better believe that there would have been an aid truck dispatched pronto, and he would have been on the floor crying.
.
Foot injuries are more painful than most any other injury because there are so many nerve endings there.
.
Bottom line: I call bogus on the shot to the foot.

Accidental shootings? If you squeeze the trigger guns go off. Sounds more like negligent shooting, grounds for a good lawsuit.

Nah, true story. He became the laughing stock of the DEA and the other Fed agencies. He is no longer allowed to give safety presentations [obviously] and he has subsequently filed suit against the DEA because the video got released.

As to pain from gunshot wounds to the foot, most of the pain is muted for the first few minutes because of the huge immediate endorphin dump that occurs. Secondly, he was doing everything he could to hide the extent of the injury from the kids present - the 'macho man' syndrome. He is obviously limping as he goes off camera and the guy following goes to help. The other agent in the corner didn't want to get involved in that mess.

BTW, the female agent with him, the one who gave him the rifle [after being prodded twice], was his wife.

The whole thing was just too funny.'I'm the only one here who is trained enough to handle this Glock.' LOL

THE GUNS FORUM

FORUM ISSUE: Guns vs. Obama

BY: Lucas McCain

I'll try again, only this time change the game just for Rosco:

Rosco gets put in the locked down 20 x 20 room with the 3 closed doors. He stands opposite the doors behind a table with three objects: A loaded big bore lever gun with 10 shots, a cell phone, and a TASER. Behind the doors are a hungry bear, a doe, and a gang banger with a gun.

Rosco gets handed a remote with (1) botton that he must push to activate 1, 2, or any combination of the 3 doors, including the chance that all 3 doors can open.

He cannot get out of the room until he pushes the botton on the remote, and solves the dilemma that will unfold before him.

To make sure Roscoe is not a criminal, it's only right that we take the loaded rifle off the table and out of play.

Now Roscoe, push the remote. I bet you can do 3 things at once - Panic and mis-dial 911, aim the TASER and do a big one in your pants.

Too bad for Roscoe. He was entertaining while he lasted.

Yawn, so boring. Gun freaks only think that guns solve everything. Hmmm, I guess those gun guys could use them to rob and steal from others in hard times. That's why they must be banned.

And according to yourself, these people didn't need guns either:

And you can prove this generalized statement?

So you suggest that banning them would eliminate robbing and stealing in hard times? You can prove this as well can you? While you’re at it prove banning them would eliminate robbing and stealing in good times. You can do this can’t you?

We've seen how well gun bans have worked in LA, Chicago, DC and NYC. Or we can broaden our view and look to UK or Russia were personal gun ownership is rare and pretty much for the elite only. Neither is crime free. In fact, crimes of violence have increased in UK since they banned guns.

When no one has guns, the strongest rule. Guns level the field. They allow a 95 lb woman to stop a 220 lb attacker. They allow the wheelchair-bound to fight back when they are attacked by the mobile.
