Drew Neitzel trying to hook on with Minnesota Timberwolves

Drew Neitzel sat courtside at Thomas & Mack Center, toweling off sweat and watching a few of his teammates shoot around after practice.

the wolves now need a small forward who can shoot. darius is a bit like brewer, though he can score. might be a better player at that position.
there's little or no chance neitzel will be a good nba player. they should sign telfair.

McHale & company better get a clue and get Foye and Telfair signed and onboard. You don't stand a chance in the NBA without solid guard play.

There is no way Neitzel will make the team. He is one the worst players on the summer league team. Period.

Blake Ahearn is a complete player - and can shoot the rock ! He should make the team. He's impressed the front office in the Vegas summer league. Reminds "The Mayor" of himself I think.

Out of the entire summer league roster, I would like to see Blake Ahearn, Drew Neitzel, and Pops Mensah-Boshu make the team.

watch for neitzel to put his critics to rest! ALL I HEAR IS ABOUT HIS SIZE AND ATHLETIC ABILITY BUT IT COMES FROM PEOPLE WHO DONT DICK ABOUT TEAM PLAY AND WHAT IT TAKES TO PLAY WITH ALL 5 PLAYERS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF A POINT GUARD WHO I THINK IS UNDERRATED! SO WATCH OUT FOR NEITZEL! AND KNOW I'M NOT FROM MICHIGAN LET ALONE A MICHIGAN STATE FAN BUT I KNOW A SOLID BASKETBALL PLAYER WHEN I SEE ONE ESPECIALLY AT THE POINT GUARD POSITION
NO Neitzel

Neitzel was a nice college player, but he's going to be a defensive liability for NBA teams. There are lots of big strong point guards who would post him and eat him alive. Sure offensively he could run an offense and knock down open shots, so if he gets a little stronger in a year or two he could be a decent backup point. I think a year or two of shooting and extending his shot will give him his niche in the NBA. He might be able to do it now, who knows. He was a good shooter in college. He's got to offer something else, though, especially if he's going to be a liability on the defensive end. We aren't strong on the defensive end to begin with. I think he can guard 15 plus feet from the basket, but he'll take a pounding inside. He won't be with the Wolves this year. He might find a place with a different team if he can prove that he can consistently hit the 3.

cardinal, madsen, booth and draft picks (going to have to be at least the first rounder of utah ,wolves got from 76ers) to bulls for hinrich.
maybe with second wolves are owed from houston or just the first owed from boston with the three players.
do not give up first owed from heat.

I love when some rube devises a trade where we give another team all our garbage and get a good player in return. And the Bulls would take this collection of garbage, why??? So are they going to pay them to sit on the bench or not play, or are they actually going to cut one of their players so they can make room for Booth or Cardinal. Hey, maybe the Bulls don't know these guys all suck and we can steal a PG from them? Can you see Bulls management at the halfway point of the season - "Hey, these guys aren't any good at all. McHale lied to me. That slippery S.O.B.!!!"

bulls would be getting draft picks, how many ever it would take, as well as the garbage.
have had others say, don't give up draft picks for hinrich, he's no good.
which is it ?
don't know if you saw one of my posts before the draft. said the idea one other poster just had about trading third pick and garbage to memphis for miller and fifth pick sounded good.
what happened less than 24 hrs later ?
OR
I sent hoiberg, a letter saying wolves should trade garnett to boston, but they had better make sure to get jefferson in the deal, six months before it happened.
yeah, I may be nuts, but I do not think I'm clueless.
if wolves can add hinrich and he performs like he did prior to last season, wolves could go from a door mate, to at least a division contender.

weather that takes adding to the garbage, the utah
first, the utah first and houston second,
the boston first, or any combination of any or all three, the wolves would be much better.

if cann't get hinrich, wolves need to suck this season so they can get whoever next years derick rose is going to be.
pick up jason willians or antony carter to play point.
that would assure wolves are a lottery team again next draft.

get better or suck another year with steady improvement ?
yeah, I know, I'm nuts.
