After finishing up their 2012 campaign with a dismal record 25-41, the Pistons held an invitation-only 'State of the Pistons' town hall-style meeting last week at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Brandon Knight averaged 12.8 points, 3.8 assists and 3.2 rebounds in his rookie campaign, receiving 13 first-team votes and 14 second-team votes.

Jason Maxiell has a player option for $5 million next season. Prior to this year many Detroit Pistons fans thought it was a foregone conclusion that the out-of-shape, under-performing Maxiell would exercise his option, cash in on his last big pay day and probably fall off of the NBA radar.

It had been discussed, even before Pistons owner Tom Gores uttered the word from an underground Palace suite in the moments preceding his team's season finale.
