When teams are clearing cap space one, two, or even three years in advance of a summer with big-name free agents who could change the fortunes of any franchise, it's always the elephant in the front office with what the plan is.

Now that Larry Drew has officially been named the new Head Coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, General Manager John Hammond will turn his focus to constructing the team Drew will coach.

Well if you haven't been paying attention the last week or so, the Atlanta Hawks brought in head assistant of the San Antonio Spurs Mike Budenholzer to be the new head coach for the Hawks.

Drew will receive a four-year, $10-million contract, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.

Williams, acquired by the Jazz in a trade with the Hawks in exchange for guard Devin Harris last July, averaged 7.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in his first season in Utah.

With the expiration of many high-paying contracts, the Atlanta Hawks will have plenty of cap space to pursue a solid free-agent market in the 2013 offseason.

With Josh Smith's contract coming off of the books, the Atlanta Hawks will have plenty of cap space to pursue free agents this offseason and take the next step in becoming an elite franchise in the NBA .
