Boston coach Doc Rivers and Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge both said Wednesday that they are disappointed in Glen Davis , who broke his right thumb while fighting with his childhood friend, Shawn Bridgewater, early Monday morning.

The news is not good for the Celtics, on two fronts, as they prepare to begin their season Tuesday night in Cleveland.
