Wisconsin's deadline to file tax returns this year is April 17. If a taxpayer files a return but doesn't submit a required payment, the state gives him or her 10 days to respond to a "notice of amount due." After 20 days, the state sends a "notice of overdue" taxes and starts an in-house collection process to find the debtor and money.
