Who Gets The Call?

That being said, who should get the ball in that "win or go home" single elimination Wild Card game? I could get all saber metric, and that would be cool, but, I'm not Billy Beane, and honestly that stuff can be overwhelming sometimes your gut is the best bet. If I was Ron Roenicke I would start Wily Peralta...that's right Wily Peralta.

Kyle Lohse allowed an early home run, but settled down after it to pitch 6 2/3 innings and allowed only two runs on five hits. The Brewers took a 2-1 lead in fourth thanks to RBI singles from Jonathan Lucroy and Ryan Braun.

With just 14 games remaining, the Brewers -- who led the National League Central for 150 of 166 days -- now find a lot of sand at the bottom of the hourglass as they face a four-game deficit in the division and trail the Pirates by 1 1/2 games for the second NL Wild Card spot. Coming off a 3-2 walk-off victory over the Reds on Friday night, and with every game becoming more critical, Milwaukee will send right-hander Yovani Gallardo to the mound on Saturday against Cincinnati Gallardo has been struggling, going 0-3 with a 5.95 ERA in his last four starts.
