The Tucson Padres scored a run in the ninth inning and another in the 10th to hand the Tacoma Rainiers a 8-7 loss Sunday in Pacific Coast League action.

TUCSON, Ariz. One day after Tucson blew a four-run lead to Tacoma in the ninth inning, the Padres turned the tables on the Rainiers and rallied late for a series-evening 9-8 victory Wednesday.

PEORIA, Ariz. -- Dustin Ackley had three hits, including a double and a triple, to lead the Mariners to a 13-7 victory over the Padres in a Cactus League game Monday before a crowd of 3,628 at the Peoria Sports Complex.

Josh Kinney, a 32-year-old right-hander who pitched in 13 games last season for the White Sox, was one of eight pitchers signed.

Guillermo Quiroz, who played for the Mariners in 2006 and 2009-10, signed a Minor League deal with the Mariners for 2012.
