HUNTSVILLE, Ala.-A The Huntsville Stars had a three-game winning streak snapped on Friday night as they lost to the Birmingham Barons by a score of 3-1 at Joe Davis Stadium.

Birmingham ended a six-game losing streak as Pedro Hernandez improved to 6-1 with 6 innings of work and Erik Morrison hit his first home run of the year.

Police were set to announce the arrest of a New Jersey man on Thursday in the 1979 disappearance of 6-year-old Etan Patz from his New York City neighborhood, according to a source close to the investigation into the case that drew national attention to the plight of missing children.

The Huntsville Stars welcome the third-place Birmingham Barons for a five game homestand starting Tuesday, May 22 at 6:43 p.m. The Stars are currently three games out of first place.
