Starting game two of the campaign in Sydney, Australia against the Dodgers and in the rotation when the bell rang, Cahill fell immediately into disfavor, exiled to the bullpen and eventually banished to the minors. So too, the Diamondbacks began the year with fresh optimism but broke out of the gate by losing 22 of their first 30 games.
