Corey Kluber and Indians offense cruise to 8-2 Game 1 victory over Twins

Whomever was masquerading as the Indians offense Thursday afternoon in the first game of a traditional doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins at Progressive Field sure laid it on pretty thick. Really, how believable did they think it would be for the Tribe to cruise to an 8-2 victory? With ace Corey Kluber on the mound, no less? It had been five games since the under-performing Indians offense had mustered more than three runs for its over-achieving pitching staff.

Tigers closer Joe Nathan appears to, finally, be finding groove

If Joe Nathan's ERA drops as much with his next outing - or even close to as much - as it did with his 29th save on Tuesday night in the Tigers' 4-2 victory over the Indians, it will be under 5.00 for the first time since May 23.
