It's a term that's been thrown around quite often during this week's MLB hot stove a '"hometown discount." For those unfamiliar with the term, a hometown discount is when a player takes a bit of a pay cut to play in the city that they grew up in, has family in, or is where they started their career.

The Chicago Cubs still want to send Milton Bradley to the Blue Jays. The latest is a three-team deal in which the Blue Jays send first baseman Lyle Overbay to the New York Mets, the Mets send second baseman Luis Castillo to the Cubs and the Jays wind up with Bradley.
