The Twins have parted ways with Erik Komatsu, designating the outfielder for assignment and replacing his spot on the active roster with pitcher Jeff Manship.

Twins center fielder Denard Span was out of the team's starting lineup for the first time this season Tuesday, May 8, but though Span said he was "shaken up" after running into the center field wall Monday, neither he nor manager Ron Gardenhire was worried about Span's concussion symptoms coming back.
