The highlights today come mostly from the lower minors, with one highlight from the upper minors coming from a prospect often maligned by commenters on this site.
Tonight's highlights might be honorable mentions on other nights: Brandon Crawford has his first HR in the upper minors; Ben Copeland has two doubles; and Oliver Odle does not allow an earned run.
Today's definite highlight is Madison Bumgarner with six scoreless innings. Also notable, T.J. Brewers throws five scoreless innings in his start, and Jesus Guzman has three hits.
Not much to choose from with both East Coast games suspended early, including Tim Alderson's start after just one inning, so I'll go with a couple HRs as the highlights of the day: top prospect Angel Villalona hit his 5th HR, and Brad Boyer hit a walk-off HR to break a scoreless tie.
Not a lot of candidates for highlights from yesterday, but I'll note these two: three Grizzlies--Frandsen, Bowker, and Rohlinger--each homer; Garrett Broshuis faces just one batter over the minimum in 4.1 scoreless innings in relief.
Alderson sparkles in Double-A debut
If the Giants had the slightest concerns about having promoted Tim Alderson to Double-A on Thursday, the young righty erased the doubt in Sunday's debut.

A thrill for young Giants, facing the Big Unit
Randy Johnson is on his way toward 300 victories and the Hall of Fame. But first, he had to get past a few baby-faced prospects.
Community Projection: Fred Lewis
I was never big on Fred Lewis as a prospect. Here , for example, I ranked him behind Eddy Martinez-Esteve and Craig Whitaker.
