NORFOLK, Va. Terry Doyle pitched a seven-inning complete game, with six strikeouts and one walk, to help the Charlotte Knights to a 3-2 victory in the first game of a doubleheader Thursday night.

For the second day in a row, Chiefs pitchers didn't execute against Charlotte's Dan Johnson, who made them pay.

The Charlotte Knights received strong pitching for the second straight game and beat the Gwinnett Braves, 2-0, in the finale of the three-game series at Knights' Stadium in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
