Cla Meredith will undergo Tommy John surgery
After experiencing pain in his surgically repaired elbow early this spring, right-handed reliever Cla Meredith will undergo Tommy John ligament-replacement surgery.
Cla Meredith yesterday received a second MRI on his surgically repaired right elbow, an enhanced version of the test called an arthrogram in which doctors inject dye into the joint.
Unfortunately, it seems the first injury issue of Nationals camp struck today. Cla Meredith, a side-arming, right-handed reliever trying to make the team on a minor league contract, had to cut short his bullpen session today with an apparent arm issue.
