Coghlan a serious contender for NL Roy

Dontrelle Willis did it in 2003. Hanley Ramirez followed up in '06. Will Chris Coghlan continue the three-year National League Rookie of the Year trend for the Marlins? He's certainly a deserving candidate.

Inbox: Will Marlins hold on to Uggla?

Is there any chance that the Marlins can extend Dan Uggla like they did with Hanley Ramirez? Uggla is a great player and I could see him in the Opening Day lineup in the Marlins new stadium.

Rookie Review: Chris Coghlan

Chris Coghlan was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the supplemental first round in 2006, out of the University of Mississippi, where he'd hit .350/.437/.513. Scouts loved his quick swing and polished hitting approach, but were uncertain he'd have the power for third base which hurt his draft stock slightly.
