Mets are trying to sign C.J. Nitkowski

Ken Davidoff of Newsday says the Mets are trying to sign free agent LHP C.J. Nitkowski, and an "agreement seems likely." On Thursday, Nitkowski tried out in front of both Dan Warthen and J.P. Ricciardi at Digital Domain Park and, according to multiple reports, is now throwing with a sidearm delivery.
