Blue Jays suffer reversal of fortune with awful August

On the morning of Aug. 1, hours after baseball's frantic trade stampede had ended without Toronto participating, the Blue Jays were 60-50 and in possession of the American League's second wild-card spot, still with their eyes upon the Baltimore Orioles who were just 1.5 games ahead of them in the AL East.
