The second-placed Rochester Tigers have Brad Major and the team's tail-enders to thank after they held strong to give the side a total to defend on the first day's play against ladder-leader Echuca on Saturday.
In an ominous sign for the rest of the Campaspe Cricket Association competition, five-time reigning premier Moama belied its position at the bottom of the ladder with a massive first-innings total of 281 against second-placed Rochester Tigers at Windridge Oval on Saturday.
