Quality win versus a quality opponent.., take them one game at a time fella's. Good to see Quentin back in the line-up.
Bullpen's a little sketchy.., but in the end, we won. Go Sox!! |

Podsednik did some good things on offense, but his horrible defense almost cost the Sox the win. He totally misplayed Crawford's hit to CF, allowing Crawford to stretch what should have been no more than a double into an inside-the-park home run. Also, he didn't even attempt to catch the ball hit in front of him to CF with two outs and one on in the bottom of the ninth. Steve Stone and the Hawk both thought that ball was catchable. Brian Anderson may not have much punch at the plate, but he probably would have caught both of those hits.

The Podsednik Adventure in CF! LMFAO when I saw him jump up the wall and the ball hit the wall at his knees. The camera showed Crawford in the dugout chuckling pretty good too. But, at least Pods makes up for it at the plate and on the basepads, for now anyway. Good game and great win!

I haven't seen the play yet, but if he was THAT BAD, then he can't be in CF for the stretch run. |

Great win in front of a full house. Man oh man, Jenks strikes out the first two batters in the ninth and then the bases get loaded. Bobby recovered to strike out the last batter. My heart can only take so much. Hope springs eternal and life is good.

I was losing my mind there watching the updates on my mobile phone... Jenks went Mitch Williams on us. |

A's 14
Twins 13 Whatta game1 |

Thanx for the headsup on that game. Figured it was over long ago. Wuertz actually got the save because he threw a freakin' wild pitch and Cuddyer got greedy and tried to score from second. Wild. Biggest come-from-behind win for the A's since they beat the Cubs in the 1929 WS. Love 'em twice as much for that. |

The Cubs ought to watch these guys play.

So what are you saying? You think Anderson should be in the lineup instead of Pods. Have you watched any of the games this year? As far as Bobby goes. Thats 22 out of 23 saves. I think he felt he needed a little more work tonight. We have now taken 4 out of 5 from the Rays. Lets get 3 more. I have to watch the Tampa feed for this series. Arrogant Duane Statts, or whatever his name is. They are very heady for only having one winning season in their history. LETS GO WHITE SOX!! |

Hey, I thought the Sox were supposed to lose? Instead they have an .800 winning percentage against the defending American League Champions this year. The next few weeks is what it is all about, I love it when they play the best teams and I think they do too.

The Cubs are too busy reading their press clippings from the 2008 regular season while they repeat the mantra "take me to a safe place, take me to a safe place, take me to a safe place". |

AJ threw out two runners what are the stats now 4 for 70 about time he did something instead of blaming the pitchers for his bad throws

When the Sox are on, there is nothing like it - Full house at the Cell, long ball, good pitching, drama at the end, then fireworks. GO SOX!!

Actually, he was in left in the ninth inning with Wise coming in for Quentin. I'd say 50/50 chance he could have caught that ball and with the lead why take a chance. Smart play. Nice to see Quentin back. Nice to see the Sox throw a a couple of guys out trying to steal. Nice to see a big crowd (good teams/good weather=big walk up). Jenks is a true closer... gives you a heart attack before saving the game. |

Pods played CF for years before he came to the Sox in '05. He can play CF. It's not like Beckham and third.
Welcome back 'Los! Tonight is the throwaway game with Richards starting. Colon can't get back here fast enough. Did you see Coop say that Sweaty Fready might be back after only 4 starts in the minors?!? This team, with 'Los back to form, and Colon and Freddy being at least passable, is going to be good enough for the Central. |

is it me, or does josh fields need to go???

Dats why Kenny get Tony Pena. |

I second that thought |

Great win, Jenks made it interesting again. Pod really did butcher play in center. But at least made up for it at plate. Josh Fields continues show that he needs to be outta here. 3 k's! not good.He is slow, can't field & can't hit.Nothing positive on his game.Went to bed thinking Twins would be just a 1/2 game behind Sox in morning. What a comeback A's!
