Frankie Rose Has Been In a Lot of Bands, But Now She's On Her Own
Sure, Frankie Rose's rsum is impressive: She briefly drummed for L.A.'s Dum Dum Girls and San Francisco's Shitstorm, a group with Raven Mahon and Hannah Lew of Grass Widow, and was a founding member of Vivian Girls, penning the '60s girl-group ode "Where Do You Run To," the song that put them on everyone's radar.

When Brooklyn, N.Y.'s Frankie Rose - who plays Golden West Cafe on Saturday - released her first album, "Frankie Rose and the Outs," back in 2010, it fell in line with the reverb-heavy indie-pop she had made her old band, Vivian Girls.
For her sophomore outing, former Vivian Girls bassist Katy Goodman sheds her cloudy outer layer and becomes one with her music.
