The Corrections department of the Interior Affairs Ministry of Belarus has prepared the draft law 'On Amnesty', which has already been submitted for consideration of the government.

On Tuesday, HBO made two announcements in the realm of acquisitions. The network said it would be producing "True Detective," a crime series based on the hunt for a serial killer in Louisiana starring Matthew McConnaughey and Woody Harrelson.

I'll have you know that I bought Farther Away , a collection of 21 essays by Jonathan Franzen, the fervently celebrated and presidentially praised author of, among other works, Freedom and The Corrections , before I intended to review it, and, of course, well before I realized that I would not be able to make myself like it.

No Franzen TV show: HBO has passed on The Corrections , a TV adaptation of Jonathan Franzen's novel about "the troubles of a Midwestern couple and their three adult children as they trace their lives from the mid-20th century to 'one last Christmas' together near the turn of the millennium," Variety reports.

While the book turned TV series Game of Thrones is one of HBO's most successful projects ever, the network won't be following the same path with another recent literary hit.

HBO will not be going forward with the Noah Baumbach/Scott Rudin pilot The Corrections .

According to Deadline.com, HBO is not moving forward with the pilot based on Jonathan Frazen's "The Corrections." HBO confirmed Deadline.com's initial report to The Huffington Post.
